TABLE DISPLAYS FOR MCWG AUTHORS
for the November Meeting of the
Minnesota Christian Writers Guild

Application Deadline: November 1, 2007

Goals for the Author Table Displays are as follows:

To recognize and support MCWG members who have authored books.
To assist our members in selling and promoting their books.
To foster meaningful conversation and networking opportunities for writers.
To educate and encourage writers who might be interested in similar endeavors in the future.
To welcome guests who come because their friend or relative has a display at this event.
To provide opportunity to purchase author-signed books that can be kept or given as gifts.

Requirements:
Books must have been written, collaborated or ghostwritten by the author, and must have been published either by a major publishing house or the author (self-published). Note: A compilation book that contains stories written by a MCWG member does not qualify for this event unless the person authored/compiled the whole book. Authors must submit a brief bio (250 words or less) for a Handout that will be distributed at the meeting (see below).

Display Details:
MCWG members are invited to display and sell their books at the November 12th meeting beginning at 6:45 p.m. A handout will be distributed that will feature a brief bio and contact information for each author. Display space equals half the length of an 8-foot rectangular table, and a large name card will be provided. Authors will bring their book(s) to sell, a sign stating the price(s), and cash for making change. Table displays may include promotional literature and/or props as desired.
